Meet the Chief Medical Residents

Blake A. Jacobs, MD

Dr. Jacobs is a Chief Medical Resident at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in the Department of Medicine. He received a Bachelor's degree in Cell and Molecular Biology in 2013 from the Missouri State University, a Doctorate in Medicine in 2017 from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, and completed his Internal Medicine residency in 2020 at the OU Health Sciences Center in the Department of Medicine. He plans to pursue a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine. He enjoys jogging, cooking, and spending time with family

Amanda R. Moyer, MD

Amanda Moyer is a Chief Medical Resident at the University of Oklahoma in the Department of Medicine. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2012 from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and completed her Doctorate in Medicine in 2016 at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She then went on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine-Pediatrics in 2020. Dr. Moyer has a particular interest in pediatric and adult rheumatology, general internal medicine, transition of care, academic medicine, and leadership. She has held numerous leadership positions though out residency including Med-Peds Chief Resident and Resident Council Chair. Dr. Moyer ultimately plans to complete a combined fellowship in adult and pediatric rheumatology and continue a career in academic medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys trying new food, spending time with family and friends, her dog Pepper, and wine.

Daniel K. Roton, MD

Dr. Roton is a Chief Medical Resident at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in the Department of Medicine. He received a Bachelor's degree in Zoology in 2013 from the University of Oklahoma, a Doctorate in Medicine in 2017 from the OU College of Medicine, and completed his Internal Medicine residency in 2020 at the OU Health Sciences Center in the Department of Medicine. He is interested in pulmonary and critical care medicine and enjoys teaching students and residents. Outside of work he enjoys hiking with his family, cycling, and cooking.
