How to Apply

The University of Oklahoma Department of Neurosurgery Residency Program accepts one to two residents alternating yearly. Applications must be made through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) and the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

The Department of Neurosurgery accepts all applicants regardless of citizenship. The screening process does not include or exclude applicants based upon gender, sexual orientation, age, race, religion, or ethnicity.

Applicants are evaluated based on multiple criteria, including but not limited to: personal statement, grades, research experience, USMLE scores, letters of recommendation, and extracurricular pursuits.

Selected candidates are invited for interviews and campus tour occurring from November to January. The interview dates for the 2019-2020 application season are November 11, December 13, and January 10.
