Ryan Kennedy, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Oklahoma. A graduate of Ross University Medical School, he completed a general surgery residency at the University of South Alabama Medical Center and a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern/Parkland Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Kennedy is certified by the American Board of Surgery with a sub-specialty certification in surgical critical care. His areas of expertise include trauma surgery, acute care surgery and surgical critical care. He also serves as the Co-Director for Adult Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) services at the OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center.
Dr. Kennedy has interests in clinical patient care for injured and critically ill patients, open reduction and internal fixation of rib fractures, resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA), and ECMO.
