Fellowship

The Molecular Genetic Pathology (MGP) Program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center is an ACGME-accredited one-year fellowship which provides structured training in all aspects of molecular pathology, including laboratory management and clinical consultation. The fellow will assume progressive responsibility for the diagnosis of a wide variety of genetic, infectious, and oncologic diseases. The program also provides rotations in molecular HLA typing, paternity testing, and forensics. Techniques available include automated nucleic acid extraction, real-time PCR, capillary electrophoresis, sequencing, Hybrid Capture, and FISH. Trainees are expected to attend genetics clinic and participate in test development. The program accepts applications until the position is filled.

Requirements: AP/CP, AP, CP, or Medical Genetics residency training and eligibility for Oklahoma medical licensure.
