Mohamad Khattab, DO

Dr. Khattab is the Chief Resident in Quality and Safety at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center in affiliation with the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Department of Medicine. He was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma and received a Bachelor's degree in Cellular Biology in 2012 from Northeastern State University, a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine in 2016 from the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, and completed his Internal Medicine residency in 2019 at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. His main role centers around leadership in quality improvement and patient safety efforts. He works closely with VA leadership to help improve important hospital metrics and ensure patient safety, and works closely with residency leadership to teach and coordinate improvement efforts for residents. His special interest is in cardiovascular disease and quality improvement efforts in the field. Some of his favorite things include playing soccer, traveling around the US, and attending OKC Thunder games.
