Thank you for your interest in the Sleep Medicine Fellowship training program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
Our Sleep Medicine has been accredited by the ACGME since its inception in 2013. Our one-year training program emphasizes a clinical training track based at the Oklahoma City Veteran Hospital and the OU Medical Center. We accept two fellows per year from any of the approved precursor specialties (anesthesiology, child neurology, family medicine, internal medicine, neurology, otolaryngology, pediatrics, or psychiatry).
We are deeply committed to training the next generation of sleep medicine providers with a strong foundation in the principles of sleep medicine and the required clinical experience. During this training period, we provide an environment to develop the coping skills and an avenue for the work-life balance needed for long-term productivity. We have a flexible educational training schedule tailored to accommodate each trainee’s career objectives. By the end of the training program, fellows are expected to function as junior faculty members, with the faculty always available for supervision and guidance.
We take pride in our highly successful program and look forward to working with you.
