Anh Lam, DO, MBA 

Dr. Anh Lam grew up in Oklahoma City and earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Biosciences from the University of Oklahoma. She completed her medical education at the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, receiving both her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degrees. Dr. Lam is currently serving as a Chief Resident in the Internal Medicine program at the University of Oklahoma, where she has developed a strong passion for research and medical education. Her work has focused on clinical outcomes in patients with cancer, and she actively mentors residents and medical students in research and scholarly projects. Outside of medicine, she enjoys bouldering, running, and spending time  outdoors with her husband and their two dogs.

Suparshva Parikh, MD

Dr. Suparshva Parikh grew up in Oklahoma City and completed both his undergraduate and medical education at the University of Oklahoma, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Doctor of Medicine (M.D.). He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics before assuming his role as Chief Medicine Resident. Dr. Parikh is passionate about medical education and particularly enjoys engaging with medical students and residents through initiatives such as this year’s Chiefs’ Simulation Lab, as well as other areas of MedEd. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, running, and staying active within his CrossFit community.

 

Luke Sorensen, MD - Chief Resident

Luke Sorensen, MD

Dr. Luke Sorensen was raised in Visalia, California. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and completed his medical education at St. George’s University School of Medicine. He is currently serving as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and is applying for a fellowship in Gastroenterology, where he aims to continue research on gastrointestinal malignancies and the use of artificial intelligence in GI. Outside of work, Dr. Sorensen enjoys spending time with his partner, Dana, and their two huskies. He is an avid runner and enjoys traveling to new places.

Gill, Hussan

Hussan Gill, MD

Dr. Hussan Gill grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Oklahoma before attending the OU School of Community Medicine for medical school. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Oklahoma and currently serves as Chief Resident for Quality and Safety at the VA Medical Center. In his free time, Dr. Gill enjoys playing basketball, cooking, and watching football.
