As a native of Oklahoma City, the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine was my first choice to study medicine. Between the closeness to home, the beautiful campus that includes multiple different graduate degrees, and great opportunities for research and extracurriculars, OU is a great place to pursue a medical degree. For me, the mod system was another plus of this program; spending the first two years with a smaller group of peers fostered learning and helped me develop close relationships with my classmates. Now as a third-year student on clinical rotations, I have found there is much to offer on the clinical side as well, with kind and helpful faculty who take an interest in our learning and lots of opportunities for specialty exploration. For students seeking a good medical education OU is the right choice.
