The combined sub-specialty faculty includes a total of 21 Pulmonary/Critical Care physicians. Eight faculty members have additional board-certification in Sleep Medicine, four faculty members have Testamur Status in Critical Care Echocardiography, and three faculty members have additional certification in Interventional Pulmonary.
All medical sub-specialties are represented in the Department of Medicine, and faculty members from these disciplines participate in the training of pulmonary/critical care fellows by providing consultative services, co-management of patients, or formal didactic activities. Faculty members from other departments of the College of Medicine participate in the training program as well. These disciplines include General Surgery, Surgical Trauma and Critical Care, Thoracic Surgery, Urology, Orthopedic Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Anesthesiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuro-Critical Care, Pediatric Critical Care, Radiology, and Pathology.
