Meet the Chief Medical Residents

Madison Andrews, M.D.

Dr. Andrews is a Chief Medical Resident at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in the Department of Internal Medicine. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2013 from Oklahoma State University and completed her Doctorate of Medicine in 2018 from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She went on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine in 2021 at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Her interests include geriatrics, primary care, health disparities, and medical education. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, being outside, and drinking good coffee.

Alyssa Grossen, M.D.

Dr. Grossen is a Chief Medical Resident at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in the Department of Internal Medicine.  She received her Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from the University of Oklahoma in 2013 and completed her Doctorate of Medicine in 2018 from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.  She completed Internal Medicine residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2021.  Her academic interests include Hepatology and Inflammatory Bowel Disease, advocacy and outreach programs, and resident well-being.  She is an avid sports fan - particularly soccer and (American) football - and will never say no to attending a sporting event.  She also loves traveling, spending time with family and friends, reading suspense and thriller novels, and binge watching Netflix.

Bryce Yohannan, M.D.

He received a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Biosciences in 2014 from the University of Oklahoma, a Doctorate in Medicine in 2018 from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, and completed his Internal Medicine Residency in 2021 at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. His academic interests include gastroenterology, primary prevention, patient education, and health literacy. Outside of work, he enjoys doing anything competitive whether it be playing basketball, volleyball, or board games; watching sports; or spending time with his family.
