Dr. Jiang is an Assistant Professor in the department of Pediatrics, Section of Diabetes and Endocrinology. Her research interests include maternal diabetes and obesity.
Dr. Jiang completed her PhD degree in Cellular and Molecular Pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and received postdoctoral training at UAB and University of Oklahoma health Science Center (OUHSC).
- Fetal programming of Mitochondrial biogenesis
- Brown/beige fat development and energy metabolism
Her main research has been focused on studying the molecular mechanisms through which adverse maternal environments impact offspring’s long-term health, with particular interest in mitochondrial/energy signaling and epigenetic regulation of gene expression.
