Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program Curriculum

Curriculum

  • 52 weeks of clinical service during the 3 year fellowship, including cardiac care and maternal fetal medicine
  • High-risk and neurodevelopmental follow-up clinics
  • Weekly protected academic afternoons with lectures on neonatal-perinatal physiology & medicine, mortality review, critically appraised topics, and board review
  • Weekly Pediatric and OB Grand Rounds
  • Collaborative conferences with Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Pediatric Medical/Surgical subspecialists
  • Monthly Professional Development seminars
  • Monthly Journal Clubs

Additional Specialized Training

  • Annual neonatal ECMO (ECLS) training course
  • Procedural bootcamp for first year fellows
  • Scholarly activity bootcamp for first year fellows in research methodology and development of IRBs, protocols, and grants
  • Neonatal hemodynamics elective
  • Tele-Resuscitation Symposium
