Welcome to our residency program! Here at the Oklahoma University Medical Center, we combine world-class facilities, faculty, staff, and residents with the friendliness and warmth Oklahoma is known for. We infuse this culture throughout our residency program to develop excellent physicians skilled in both internal medicine and pediatrics.
It is our goal to ensure that with our educational environment and your individual skills and passions, we take you from an intern to an excellent physician confident in all settings with a broad range of patients and acuities.
No matter where your interests- primary care, hospitalist, or sub-specialty– we have the faculty, program leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to develop your passion so that you are successful both in residency and in your future work setting.
Between COVID and community discord across the nation, it's more important than ever to be surrounded a trusted, supportive network of friends and colleagues in residency. Even though we will be separated by screens and perhaps thousands of miles in interviews again this year, we are reassured by the success of last year's process. We felt we truly got to know our applicants and they got to know us, and the proof came July 1 with another outstanding class of interns. We approach the match process with transparency and authenticity so we can get to know you and help you see who we are, what sets us apart, and what we value.
