Academic Funds
MP1 residents receive MKSAP books in preparation for boards, and e-books (Redbook, Pediatric 5-Minute Consult, Pediatric Drug Book, Adult 5-Minute Consult, Harrison's, and many others). In addition, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support are arranged and held during the orientation period at no cost to the incoming resident.
CME
The Department of Pediatrics will cover the cost to attend 1 conference during residency.
The Department of Medicine gives up to $1000 for approved conferences.

who present at national meetings, but is subject to Program Director approval.

Meals and Nutrition
All residents are given a quarterly meal stipend from both departments to offset the cost of meals purchased in the hospital cafeteria. In addition, the resident refrigerator in the Medicine lounge is stocked daily with cold sandwiches, potato chips, and sodas for residents working overnight. The Pediatric lounge is stocked with soda, water and has vending machines that accept the meal cards. Meals are also provided for noon conferences.
Benefits
Medical insurance coverage is offered to residents by the University for a small cost. Additional coverage for dependents is available at an additional cost. Policies are currently available through the State of Oklahoma. Please ask for additional information.
Moonlighting
On campus moonlighting is allowed. Initiation of moonlighting must be arranged by the resident and approved by the program director prior to starting.
Resident Lounge
There are private pediatric and private medicine resident lounges within very close proximity to patient care areas.
Parking
Central, convenient parking is available to all residents within a short walk to all hospitals. Reserved parking is available for an additional fee.
Uniforms
White coats and scrubs are provided by the department and hospital, respectively.
