Radiation Oncology
Aous Jarrouj, MD
Radiation Oncology Resident, PGY 3
I was born and raised in Damascus, Syria where I graduated medical school from the University of Damascus then completed 3 years of training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Ibn Al-Nafees Hospital. I completed a dual master’s in business administration and healthcare management through the University of Arizona where I conducted translational research for 6 years. I also worked in clinical research at Charleston Area Medical Center for 3 years.
Currently, I am a resident physician in the Department of Radiation Oncology, and I am passionate about central nervous system tumors and stereotactic radiosurgery. I am involved in multiple translational and clinical projects investigating immunosuppression in GBM and breast cancer in addition to the radiation protection of prostate cancer.
When I am not at the cancer center or the lab, I like to walk my dogs, work out, travel, oil paint, and cook.
