Collaborating for an Outreach Opportunity
The Office of Access and Community Engagement is dedicated to engaging with Oklahomans across the state with the support of our University partners.
ACE attends health fairs, career/college expos, and many other community events. We bring hands-on science and medical activities to educate and inspire interest in healthcare careers. ACE also visits elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as technology centers, where we can engage students with hands-on learning.
Make a request to partner with our Office for an upcoming event or opportunity.
Borrowing Outreach Materials
From 2021-2024, a generous HRSA grant allowed for the purchase of many resources; among them, outreach materials for the Office of Access and Community Engagement to reach K-12 students and inspire them to pursue careers in STEM and Healthcare.
These materials include scientific lab equipment for more advanced students, as well as elementary-level experiment kits using conventional, everyday items. All activities are developed with the goal of hands-on, kinesthetic learning and creativity.
Faculty and staff in the College of Medicine can request to check out these materials for outreach events. Campus partners from outside the College of Medicine may also request to check out materials; these requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis, with priority given to College of Medicine requests.
