Description of the Neuroscience PhD program.
The Neuroscience PhD Program at OUHS is a dynamic and interactive program comprised of students and faculty with diverse interests in the Neurosciences.Students can pursue PhD research in a wide range of research areas, including: cellular and molecular neuroscience, systems neuroscience, neurodegenerative and neurovascular disease, brain aging and dementia, neuropharmacology, traumatic brain injury, neural signaling and synaptic organization, neurophysiology, and vision.
Students have the opportunity to present their latest research through our seminar series, and our annual Neuroscience Symposium, which brings together neuroscientists from many different areas, and the annual GREAT symposium, which showcases student research across all of research disciplines at OUHS.
The OUHS Neuroscience Ph.D. program is housed in the OUHS Department of Neurosurgery, which provides abundant opportunities for students and faculty to interact across basic neuroscience research, translational, and clinical neuroscience.
