Orthopedic Surgery Residency

The Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine is a fully accredited five-year training program by the ACGME. We accept seven residents per year at the PGY-1 level.

Our program offers residents a comprehensive education in both general and subspecialty orthopedic surgery. Clinical training is structured through diverse rotations across several institutions, including:

  • OU Health  – a Level I Trauma Center
  • Oklahoma Children’s Hospital OU Health
  • Oklahoma City VA Medical Center
  • Multiple private practice hospitals throughout the Oklahoma City metropolitan area

In addition to hands-on clinical experience, residents benefit from a robust academic curriculum, including a consistent schedule of didactic conferences and educational sessions.

We appreciate your interest in our program and thank you for visiting our website. We are proud of the exceptional residents who graduate from our program and are committed to continuing our tradition of excellence in orthopedic surgical training. Let us know if you have any questions.
