Application Process

Primary Application

We participate in the NRMP (http://www.nrmp.org/) and accept applications only through ERAS (https://www.aamc.org/services/eras/). Applications will be reviewed in a holistic approach. 

Please note: Applicants that do not signal our program will not receive an interview for residency as those applications will not be reviewed. Applicants that have failed any portion of the STEP examinations or courses on their medical school transcript are unlikely to be offered an interview.

Primary Application Deadline: October 26, 2026

Application and Interview Process

The Mark Allen Everett Department of Dermatology offers two residency tracks:

·Physician Only Track: Begins July 1, 2027

·Advanced Resident Track: Begins July 1, 2028

Interview Invitations

Selected applicants will be invited to participate in our interview process. Candidates will receive detailed information regarding interview schedules and logistics prior to their interview date.

Social Event

Candidates who interview in-person are invited to attend an in-person social event on the evening before their scheduled interview day. This event provides an opportunity to meet current residents and learn more about our program in an informal setting.

Interview Day

After an “about me” presentation presented to the interview committee, candidates will participate in separate interviews with:

·Faculty members

·First-year residents

The use of Artificial Intelligence to help or assist you during your interview is prohibited. Observers are not guaranteed an interview. 

This year's residency applicant interview dates are:

Virtual interviews:  December 10 and January 7

In-person interview:  December 3 and January 14

Socials will be held in-person for in person candidates only on December 2 and January 13
