OUHSC Clinical Psychology Internship

Thank you for your interest in our Internship. Our internship program has four positions, begins July 1 of each year, and continues one calendar year through June 30. Applicants to the internship must be in good standing in an APA-approved doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology and must have completed at least two years of graduate study leading to a doctoral degree.  We do not accept applicants from school psychology, social psychology, or industrial/organizational programs.

Accreditation Status 
The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences currently has three Psychology training programs: Internship in Clinical Psychology, Postdoctoral Residency in Clinical Psychology, and a Postdoctoral Residency in Clinical Neuropsychology. These programs are currently in the process of seeking full accreditation from APA. The Internship in Clinical Psychology has completed its Self-Study and Site Visit and is awaiting accreditation decision from APA Committee on Accreditation. Both the Clinical Residency and Clinical Neuropsychology Residency have completed their Self-Studies, have been approved for a Site Visit, and are scheduling Site Visits for the first quarter 2024.

Currently, all three programs are not accredited by APA CoA and our application status in not a guarantee of future accreditation.
