Monthly Surgical Simulation Skills Labs at the OU College of Medicine Clinical Skills Education & Testing Center help complement a busy and robust conference schedule. The year starts with a Basic Orthopedic Surgery Skills Lab for our incoming PGY-1 residents in July. Other simulation skills lab topics covered throughout the remainder of the year include trauma fracture fixation, knee & shoulder arthroscopy, knee, hip, shoulder & ankle arthroplasty, spine surgery, foot and ankle surgery, and hand surgery. Residents receive both group and one-on-one instruction during these highly popular labs, which utilize state-of-the-art equipment.
