Scholarship Opportunities

College of Medicine Scholarships

Through the generous gifts of OU College of Medicine benefactors, medical school tuition scholarships are available. The Scholarship Committee makes these awards based on both merit and financial need. An application is made available in February for current medical students. These scholarships are awarded for one-year and reapplication is necessary.

OUHSC Scholarships and Waivers

There are several institutional scholarships available. It should be noted that institutional scholarship funds are limited. Meeting the application deadline and fulfilling application requirements does not guarantee an award of scholarship funds.

Oklahoma City Community Foundation (OCCF) Scholarships

There are both recurring and stand-alone opportunities for scholarships through the Oklahoma City Community Foundation (OCCF). The mission of the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, a nonprofit public charity, is to serve the charitable purposes of its donors and the charitable needs of the Oklahoma City area through the development and administration of endowment and other charitable funds with the goal of preserving capital and enhancing value.

Students can apply for all scholarships here. Scholarships that are specifically available for OU College of Medicine students are distributed via OUHSC email.

Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP)

As one of the most comprehensive scholarships available in the healthcare field, the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) can go a long way in helping pay for an advanced medical degree for current and future medical students. Learn more about HPSP here.
