The Physician Associate Program at the University of Oklahoma Health Campus is one of the country's oldest and most respected PA programs. Founded in 1970, the program prepares students to become skilled, compassionate, and adaptable clinicians ready to serve diverse communities across Oklahoma and beyond. Curriculum

The OU Health Campus PA Program offers a rigorous 27-month curriculum to build a strong foundation in medical science, clinical reasoning, and patient care. 

Didactic Phase: 15 months of classroom-based learning, covering topics from anatomy and pharmacology to evidence-based practice and patient communication. 

Clinical Phase: 12 months of supervised clinical rotations across various specialties and settings, including primary care, emergency medicine, and surgery.

Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by the time of enrollment 
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative and science GPA and 3.0 in all prerequisite coursework 
  • Completion of all required coursework by the time of enrollment 
  • Completed CASPA and supplemental OUHSC applications 
  • Formal interview with the program 
  • Meet the technical standards for the program 
  • Direct patient care experience preferred not required
