What an exciting time to be in the PA profession and at the Physician Associate Program. The profession is rapidly expanding and recognized nationally as a top career choice. We are one of the original six accredited programs in the United States and have maintained continuous accreditation since 1972. Our outstanding faculty is accessible and committed to the personal and professional development of our students. The program takes advantage of our place in an academic medical center to teach the next generation of clinicians. With a strong educational foundation our graduates are ready to launch a lifelong career with opportunities to practice in a variety of dynamic settings.
As healthcare changes, physician assistants are increasingly valued as vital members of the healthcare team. Our graduates are in high demand and enjoy careers that are rewarding both personally and professionally. We believe it is important for our students to become culturally proficient, service-minded, and prepared to serve the community around them. Graduating students will understand the need to work collaboratively with other team members and the necessity to embrace lifelong learning to keep pace with medical advances in patient care.
The practice of medicine is a noble calling and will continue to demand the very best of those who pursue the study. PA school is a rigorous pursuit and presses students in a manner they haven’t experienced previously. While our program is one of the oldest in the nation, we are continually looking to ensure that our graduates excel in careers in the rapidly expanding physician assistant profession. We invite you to join us for an advising session and check it out for yourself.
