The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine is a cornerstone of the OU Health Campus and plays a vital role within OU Health, the state's most comprehensive academic health system. For over 125 years, our faculty, staff, and learners have worked together to train exceptional physicians, advance life-changing research, and deliver outstanding patient care across Oklahoma and beyond.

Ian F. Dunn, M.D., FACS, FAANS, was appointed Executive Dean of the OU College of Medicine in January 2024. A nationally recognized neurosurgeon and former associate professor at Harvard Medical School, Dr. Dunn brings decades of experience in academic medicine, research, and healthcare leadership to this role. As executive dean, he also serves as the Chief Physician Executive of OU Health, ensuring the full integration of the college's academic and research missions with the clinical mission of Oklahoma's premier academic health system.
