The University of Oklahoma (OU) Health Campus Clinical Psychology Residency is offered through the OU College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. The program coordination is housed in the Department of Psychiatry, with administrative support provided by OU. The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and affiliated training agencies are located together in a large medical complex.
In addition to the OU Clinical Psychology Residency, the educational programs of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences include a neuropsychology residency, psychiatric residency, a pre-doctoral clinical psychology internship, a pediatric psychiatry fellowship, and undergraduate medical education. The department offers all students, whether they are psychology residents, psychiatric residents, or medical students, many opportunities to interact with other professionals in mental health services and interdisciplinary providers across all settings.
Medical Campus
The University of Oklahoma Health Campus (OUHC) in Oklahoma City serves as the State's principal educational and research facility for health care professionals. The campus is located one mile south of the state Capitol and approximately two miles from the city's business and financial center. OUHC is easily accessible from anywhere in the metropolitan area.
OUHC is one of only a few comprehensive health centers in the nation with seven health professional Colleges located on 200 acres. On this campus are three hospitals, a medical library, and other federal, state, and private health care and research institutions.
