Best thing(s) about the program: It may seem cliche but the sense of community is second-to-none. I have made life-long friends within the program. Program leadership truly cares about resident well-being.

Favorite thing(s) to do in OKC: trying new foods - there's tons of amazing OKC restaurants; going to book stores on the weekend; attending the different arts and crafts festivals around town.
Best thing(s) about the program: The attendings are all super supportive and this extends to program leadership as well. If there's any particular area of interest you have, people will go out of their way to help you get the experiences you would like to have. This unconditional support makes the residency a really fun place to work and learn!

About me: I grew up in Houston and have been slowly making my way up north (Dallas for medical school and now OKC for residency). I love traveling and spending time with friends or just watching anime when I'm hiding in my apartment once in a blue moon. I still don't quite know which direction in psychiatry I want to go as I've enjoyed everything I've done so far, so stay turned for next year's update!
