Shadow Physician Associates

All prospective applicants are strongly advised to shadow practicing Physician Associates before applying to the OU OKC PA Program. While there is no set number of shadowing hours required, applicants are recommended to shadow at least 3 PAs across different specialties. It's recommended to observe PAs in fields such as Primary Care, Emergency Medicine, and other specialties, including Dermatology and Pediatrics. The OUHC PA Program recommends visiting the relevant websites listed below to locate medical professionals for shadowing. Additionally, volunteering in medical settings and networking can help you connect with providers who you can shadow.
