The University of Oklahoma General Surgery Residency Program provides broad clinical and operative experience across tertiary, pediatric, community, and rural training environments. Residents train at the state’s only ACS - verified Level I trauma center at OU Health University of Oklahoma Medical Center, gain community-based experience at OU Health Edmond Medical Center and SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital, complete specialized pediatric surgical training at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital OU Health, and participate in rural surgery training at Memorial Health System of Southwest Oklahoma.
