Application Information

Our program participates in the selection procedure as suggested by the Association of Psychology Internship Centers (APPIC). The internship site agrees to abide by the APPIC policies. No person at this training facility will solicit, accept or use any ranking-related information from any intern applicant. All interviews are on an invitation-only basis and will be conducted virtually.

As an APPIC member, we use the standard AAPI (APPIC Application for Psychology Internship) online application process. When searching for our program on the APPI, please use the program code 1519 or the abbreviated program name (OUH). Each applicant must submit a complete application to AAPI online. The application deadline is November 2, 2026

A completed application set includes:

  1. Standard On-line APPIC Application
  2. Letter of Interest
  3. Three letters of recommendation
  4. Official transcripts

Please indicate your preferred training position(s) in bold near the top of your Letter of Interest. Training positions and their corresponding numbers are as follows:

  • Clinical Neuropsychology: Match #151914 - 2 positions
  • Child Clinical Psychology (Center for Child Abuse & Neglect/Child Study Center): Match #151915 - 1 position
  • Pediatric Psychology/Children's Hospital of Oklahoma: Match #151917-  1 position
  • Integrated Behavioral Health/HRSA-GPE Funded: Match # 151911 - 3 positions

You can apply for any combination of the above training positions. List your desired training position(s) in bold near the top of your interest letter. You will only be considered for the training position(s) listed in your letter.

If selected for an interview, candidates receive a general program orientation, meet faculty from their preferred training position(s), and talk to current trainees. Because all trainees must have child and adult assessment and therapy, the program offers non-preferred emphasis rotations.

A selection committee carefully reviews each application and candidates selected for an interview are notified by the 3rd week of November. Due to University holidays, no interviews are scheduled between December 24 and January 1. Interviews are typically scheduled two weeks in advance and conducted virtually. Dr. Amanda Cherry, Ph.D.

Life in Oklahoma City

The University of Oklahoma Health Campus is one of only a few comprehensive health centers in the nation with seven health professional Colleges – Allied Health, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and Graduate Studies – right in the heart of the state capitol, Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma City metro area has great educational opportunities, professional sports, a strong economy, a commitment to the arts, and one of the lowest costs of living in the United States.
