Our program participates in the selection procedure as suggested by the Association of Psychology Internship Centers (APPIC). The internship site agrees to abide by the APPIC policies. No person at this training facility will solicit, accept, or use any ranking-related information from any intern applicant. All interviews are invitation-only and will be conducted virtually.
As an APPIC member, we use the standard AAPI (APPIC Application for Psychology Internship) online application process. When searching for our program on the APPI, please use the program code 1519 or the abbreviated program name (OUH). Each applicant is to submit a complete set of application materials to AAPI online. The application deadline is November 2, 2026.
A completed application set includes:
- Standard Online APPIC Application
- Letter of Interest
- Three letters of recommendation
- Official transcripts
In your letter of interest, which is part of the standard online application, please indicate your preferred training position (s) from those we offer. Put this information in bold print near the top of your interest letter. The training positions and numbers available for recruitment are as follows:
- Clinical Neuropsychology: Match #151914 - 2 positions
- Child Clinical Psychology (Center for Child Abuse & Neglect/Child Study Center): Match #151915 - 1 position
- Pediatric Psychology/Children's Hospital of Oklahoma: Match #151917- 1 position
- Integrated Behavioral Health/HRSA-GPE Funded: Match # 151911 - 2 positions
You can apply for any combination of the training positions above. List your desired training position(s) in bold near the top of your letter of interest. You will only be considered for the training position(s) that you list in your letter of interest.
On interview day, candidates will have a general program orientation, meet with faculty for their preferred training position, and have an opportunity to meet current trainees. Please note that all trainees are required to complete assessments and provide therapy for adults and children; therefore, the program provides information on non-preferred emphasis rotations.
A selection committee will review each application. As we limit the number of applicants who interview, all interviews are invitation-only. We will notify all applicants selected for an interview by the 3rd week of November. We have university holidays from December 24th through January 1st, during which time we do not schedule interviews. Interviews will be conducted virtually and are typically scheduled two weeks in advance.
