What’s your favorite day-trip when you get unexpected time off?I am a big baseball fan so I’d say catching a game in either Dallas or Kansas City, especially if the Yankees are in town.
What is the best part about the Ortho residency at OU?The camaraderie among residents. We are close group of people that enjoy spending time together both inside and outside of the hospital. There is always someone texting the group about hanging out. It doesn’t take long for everyone to feel like an extension of your family.

What is something that can make even the most difficult day at work instantly a little bit better?Residency is a grind sometimes but scheduling a golden weekend tee time with my co-residents instantly gives me something to look forward to.
What is your favorite OU Ortho tradition?This is a tough one...I'd have to stay the notorious trauma ‘stache which is definitely in vogue because of the new Top Gun.
What was your all-time favorite Halloween costume? Do you have a picture you would like to share?When I was prison mike and Caroline was Billie Eilish for a halloween party during medical school.

What is one thing someone just starting out in residency should invest in?A great pair of comfortable shoes. Definite necessity for running down to the trauma bay or standing in the OR for long periods of time.
What is your favorite time of year in Oklahoma?Definitely Fall. It's cool enough to enjoy being outdoors, football is back, sweater weather is on the horizon, and COOP Oktoberfest is back in stores. Overall, it's great time to be in Oklahoma.

How do you end a long hard day at work?Spend time with my wife, dog, cat, and my beloved koi fish.

How do you end a long hard day at work?After a long day at work, I enjoy going on a walk with my husband and dog child, Chance, then coming home and decompressing with an episode of Modern Family or Friends.
What hidden benefit of Oklahoma have you enjoyed?One of the main reasons I came to Oklahoma and stayed after undergrad is the people. Growing up in the military, I had to move all over and realized that you can always visit really cool places but, in the day to day, the people around you are what matter most.
What food do you wish had zero calories?Chocolate!

Ever since I nearly got pulled onstage at a 2018 Paramore concert to sing Misery Business, I whip that out at karaoke at any opportunity. That's the kind of rejection that sticks with you forever.
