The OUHSC internship offers the stipends and fringe benefits described below. Intern salary stipends are determined each year and are published on the APPIC website. Stipend level: $34,000 - $36,500 (dependent on the track funding).
Benefits Student benefits include library and parking privileges for interns. An Employee Health Insurance policy is provided to all interns. Additional Dental and Vision coverage is available at the intern’s expense. Health Insurance for all interns becomes effective July 1st.
Leave Interns receive 200 hours of leave for Annual/PTO, Sick and holidays, and 16 hours of Academic leave.
Liability Insurance The Department provides professional liability insurance through the State Tort Claims Act.
Professional Expenses Interns are provided financial assistance to attend a minimum of one conference. Additional reimbursement for licensure expenses and educational materials may also be available. The amount of reimbursement is determined annually by departmental budget.
