Admissions

The Department of Radiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) offers Master's and Doctorate Degrees. It is the goal of the program and its students to complete the M.S. in 2 years and the Ph.D. within 4 years beyond that required for the Masters. Medical Physics is not just for Physicists but our program emphasizes a strong component of the study of structure and matter as well as the use of technology in medicine. The faculty consists of twelve full-time PhD associated with the medical physics program who perform research and clinical function whether it is in Computational Medical Imaging, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine or Diagnostics Physics. The primary faculty is supplemented by additional adjunct faculty to provide a more comprehensive training for the students in the program. Prior research experience is helpful but not necessary.
