Practice builds confidence! Our simulation center is a great place to run through clinical scenarios and put new skills to work. During Y-week, residents practice skills such as suturing and lumbar puncture on mannequins in the skills lab. In the simulation room, our fully-equipped Gaumard mannequin - Hal - provides a chance to run through clinical scenarios with on-the-spot physical exam changes. The curriculum includes respiratory distress, clinic emergencies, code blue, defibrillation, and much more.
