The Department of Neurology offers fourth-year electives for OU College of Medicine students and medical students from other schools via the AAMC Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO) portal. (For students who have not completed a neurology clerkship at their home school, we offer the core clerkship didactics to ensure all students have a foundational understanding of the most important concepts in clinical neurology.)
In addition to our four-week inpatient Subinternship, electives are also available for:
- Mixed Inpatient / Outpatient
- Special Studies (where you design your own clinical experience approved by faculty)
- Research (for continuing projects you have already started, i.e., this is not intended for beginning projects from scratch)
- Off-Campus (through VSLO-participating institutions)
