Paid Time Off and LeaveResidents are entitled to the following leave, as described below
- Annual Leave - 15 days per academic year
(this includes vacation and personal time off)
- Sick Leave - 15 days per academic year (this includes leave due to personal or family illness, injury, or medical need)
- Educational Leave - 5 days per academic year (this includes leave to attend regional, national, specialty, or subspecialty meetings of fellow's choice)

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences provides malpractice insurance for professional activities within the residency program.

Call Schedule
Night call is light, taken from home, and usually averages about three patients a month.
