SPARK is a week-long summer program geared towards current high school sophomores and juniors that are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. Students have the opportunity to experience medicine through hands-on activities and engaging discussions with faculty from various medical specialties.
Students participate in activities such as casting and suturing workshops, treating sports-related injuries and utilizing state-of-the-art equipment such as laproscopic surgery simulators. SPARK is a free program for high school students and is offered two separate weeks during the summer. The application process opens in February and students can apply online if they are interested in attending the program.
