Why I Chose OU: When it came time to choosing a residency, Oklahoma University just felt like the right fit. Oklahoma City has this great balance of enough city life to keep things exciting, but with the warmest, most welcoming people that make it feel like home. The anesthesiology program drew me in with its diverse case variety and faculty who are genuinely invested in your growth. The training environment is collaborative and supportive, which makes all the difference during residency. Outside of the hospital, OKC has a great food scene, fun things to explore, and a community that makes it easy to recharge and actually enjoy where you live. It is the kind of place where you can grow as a physician and feel good about the city you are doing it in.
