Kiki Stayton, MD

Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident

A true Okie, Kiki was born and raised in Oklahoma City.  She attended the University of Oklahoma where she earned her BS in Biology and continued her education as a Sooner, completing medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.

During medical school, Kiki focused strongly on ethical principles and community advocacy, serving as a planning committee member of the Reproductive Health Symposium, a student-led event that offers interdisciplinary education on reproductive health topics.  Her involvement in this effort allowed her to plan and facilitate a breakout session on Oklahoma State Bill 1334, known as Corinne’s Law.  This legislation mandates that insurance coverage includes health care benefits for standard fertility preservation procedures for those diagnosed with cancer.  A community advocate in multiple ways, Kiki also was the co-founder and president of Students Supporting Special Needs Communities.  It was through this involvement that she was able to coordinate volunteer initiatives with the Down Syndrome Association of Oklahoma, Special Olympics Oklahoma, and WingsOK.

When she’s not practicing medicine, you can find Kiki, a former sailing instructor, baking, playing sand volleyball, reading, or working out.  She would recommend the books Mad Honey and The Silent Patient to any fellow bookworms.
