Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident
Ritu is an Oklahoma City girl, through and through. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she earned her BS in Quantitative Methods, Analysis, and Business Analytics at Emory University before returning for medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.
Ritu has a passion for research and participated in multiple projects during medical school, with a particular focus on gynecologic oncology, seeking to improve both quantity and quality of life for the women of Oklahoma. She also worked as an Advocacy Team Leader for Medical Students for Choice, a group that provides student advocacy opportunities with a focus on ensuring reproductive freedom. On a global level, Ritu worked with Dr. Thanh Bui on multiple projects examining behavioral interventions for cancer prevention in Laos.
When not at work, you can find Ritu enjoying time in her hometown of OKC. She has a particular love for tennis, a game she has played since the age of six. She’s also a vocal and enthusiastic dog owner and loves to introduce her pup, Chewie, to new ways to wear himself out all around town. Coming from a family of amazing cooks, Ritu loves to eat and is always trying out new recipes. Cooking a good meal is one of her favorite ways to relax after a long day.
