The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is a strong and growing Division that is diligent in supporting the mission of the Department of Pediatrics in the College of Medicine on the OU Health Sciences Center campus and continues to be an integral part of the Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center. The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition advances the treatment of pediatric gastrointestinal and liver disorders through the coordinated efforts of its patient care, research and educational activities. Our mission is to provide compassionate, coordinated and collaborative care to all Children of Oklahoma.
The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition was able to provide 12,000 clinic visits and 1,800 GI procedures in 2018, making it the largest referral center in State of Oklahoma. We offer a full range of services through our multi-disciplinary programs to diagnose, treat and manage gastrointestinal, liver and nutritional disorders in infants, children and adolescents. We bring multiple specialists together to provide consultation, diagnosis and medical management in an expedited manner. Some of our specialized programs include Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Liver Transplant, Intestinal Rehabilitation, Aerodigestive Disorders, Gastrointestinal Motility, Fatty Liver, and Cystic Fibrosis. The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition team consists of pediatric gastroenterology faculty, pediatric gastroenterology fellows, nurse practitioners, physician assistant, dietician, psychologist and nurse coordinators.
The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology also has a robust fellowship training program that emphasizes the training of future academic leaders in the field of pediatric gastroenterology.
