Clerkship

Kathryn Kramer, MD
Assistant Professor
Clerkship Director

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology welcomes third-year medical students into a supportive learning environment where clinical experience, dedicated teaching and mentorship come together. As part of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, our clerkship gives students the opportunity to learn alongside faculty, residents and care teams while developing a deeper understanding of women’s health. Through hands-on learning and structured instruction, students build the knowledge and clinical confidence they need to grow as future physicians.

We recognize that meaningful learning takes place when students feel comfortable asking questions, participating in patient care and seeking guidance. Our clerkship combines bedside teaching, case-based discussions, simulation and skills workshops to help students connect classroom knowledge with clinical practice. Whether students plan to pursue obstetrics and gynecology or another specialty, our goal is to help them develop essential skills, approach patient care thoughtfully and feel prepared for the next stage of their medical education.
