She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Dr. Carter provides supervision of inpatient and outpatient services provided in pediatric hematology/oncology. Comprehensive specialty clinics include Sickle Cell Clinic, Hemophilia Clinic, Taking on Life After Cancer (TLC) Clinic (a cancer survivorship clinic), and Brain Tumor Clinic. Research interests include family adjustment to acute and chronic childhood illness and stem cell pre-transplant evaluations. Dr. Carter is a clinical supervisor for interns and residents.
