9th Annual Oklahoma Urologic Symposium

The Symposium will provide a comprehensive and up‑to‑date review of key advances in urologic care, featuring distinguished faculty from the OU College of Medicine and invited experts. Morning sessions will focus on prostate cancer, including management of newly diagnosed metastatic disease, focal therapy selection, radionuclide therapy, and international insights on prostate cancer in Black men, followed by a multidisciplinary panel.

The program then transitions to bladder and kidney cancer with updates on neoadjuvant therapy for MIBC, the use of ctDNA in surveillance, bladder cancer case discussions, kidney cancer case panels, and optimal management of NMIBC. In the afternoon, the agenda shifts to clinical practice updates, including vasectomy guideline changes, minimally invasive therapies for BPH, and expectation management in Peyronie’s disease, followed by a men’s health panel. Additional sessions highlight varicocele ligation for infertility, a pediatric urology update, and resident case presentations.

  • Describe the role of emerging therapies and surgical approaches in the management of prostate cancer recurrence after radiation therapy.
  • Identify advancements in the treatment of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) and their potential impact on clinical practice.
  • Apply recent updates in guidelines and treatment strategies for pelvic health, including OAB and Peyronie’s disease, to improve patient outcomes in clinical setting
