CA-1 | Basic Anesthesiology

The CA-1 year focuses on developing core clinical skills, perioperative management, and foundational anesthetic knowledge.

• Primary rotations on Adult Anesthesia Services at OU Health
• Introduction to subspecialty training in the latter half of the year
• Emphasis on airway management, pharmacology, physiology, and intraoperative decision-making

The majority of Basic Anesthesia Training occurs during this year, establishing the framework for advanced practice.
