Research is central to the mission of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, with $16.9 million in research funding supporting discovery across reproductive health, maternal-fetal medicine, gynecologic cancer, fertility, pelvic floor disorders, lactation and other areas of women's health.

Since its establishment in 1962, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine has been committed to improving the health of women through comprehensive, patient-centered care.
