My husband and I have three young boys who keep us on our toes.  When we're not at work, we are probably trying out a new burger place or at a park somewhere.

I was born in Taipei, Taiwan.  I lived in Penang, Malaysia for most of my life until I moved to North Carolina for college.  Most recently I lived in Salt Lake City, Utah for 4 years before moving to Oklahoma City to finish up my MD/PhD, residency, and fellowship.

Academic Section(s):

Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

Residency:

Department of Pediatrics, University of Oklahoma Health, College of Medicine

Fellowship:

Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine , University of Oklahoma Health, College of Medicine

Clinical/Research Interests:

I am interested in the role of tissue resident macrophages in the neonate.  Specifically, I will study how prematurity and growth restriction impact macrophage origins and development in the neonatal kidney.  I hope to understand how prematurity and altered nephrogenesis dictate subsequent immune responses to kidney injury in the adult.
