Alekhya Mitta, MBBS

Dr. Alekhya Mitta’s journey from Hyderabad, India to Oklahoma has been rich with academic achievement, professional growth, and personal fulfillment. She earned her MBBS from Sri Ramachandra University in India and later deepened her interest in Radiation Oncology while working as a patient safety officer at the Dan L Duncan Cancer Center in Houston. In 2021, she pursued a Master’s in Public Health at the Hudson College of Public Health, followed by an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Oklahoma in 2023. She began her Radiation Oncology residency at Stephenson Cancer Center in July 2023. The mentorship she has received at OU has played a pivotal role in shaping her educational and professional journey.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Mitta is a devoted mother to two children and a Husky. She finds joy in family time, traveling, home improvement projects, and gardening. With a strong foundation in medicine, a passion for community service, and a spirit of exploration, she is committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
