Dr. Aous Jarrouj was born and raised in Damascus, Syria, where he earned his medical degree from the University of Damascus. He went on to complete three years of training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Ibn Al-Nafees Hospital. Pursuing further education, Dr. Jarrouj completed a dual master’s degree in Business Administration and Healthcare Management through the University of Arizona, where he also conducted translational research for six years. He later worked in clinical research at Charleston Area Medical Center for three years.
Currently, Dr. Jarrouj is a resident physician in the Department of Radiation Oncology. His clinical and academic interests include central nervous system tumors and stereotactic radiosurgery. He is actively involved in multiple translational and clinical research projects investigating immunosuppression in glioblastoma and breast cancer, as well as radiation protection in prostate cancer.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Jarrouj enjoys walking his dogs, working out, traveling, oil painting, and cooking.
