The Division of Diabetes and Endocrinology conducts research spanning bench science to clinical trials, with work supported by the National Institutes of Health, institutional funding, and industry partnerships. As part of the OU Health Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, our research connects laboratory discovery directly to the clinical care our patients receive.
Our work is organized around three core priorities: maternal effects on early childhood metabolic health, novel biomarkers for early disease detection, and community-based research partnerships with Oklahoma's tribal nations. This research has produced an average of 15 peer-reviewed publications per year since 2020, backed by more than $12 million in active funding.
