Dr. DiMauro earned her medical degree from The American University of the Caribbean in 1982. She completed her Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 1986 at The University of Texas Southwestern School of Medicine and Affiliated Hospital in Dallas, Texas, and went on to complete her Board Certification in 1989.
Dr. DiMauro came to OU Physicians in 2023 from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she practiced her specialty in Private Practice and as Medical Director of an inpatient Rehabilitation Unit in Western Pennsylvania before travelling the United States as a Locum Tenens provider, licensed in 11 states. She moved to Oklahoma in 2021 with her husband to be closer to family and their youngest grandchildren. Dr. Di Mauro joined the Department or Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation in order to continue her passion for providing very early intervention in the acute rehabilitation of the complex trauma patient as a member of the OU Trauma One team. When she is not working, Dr. Di Mauro enjoys spending time with her family here and in Michigan as well as travelling with her husband.
